Springtime is in full swing...

Spring has officially sprung here in San Antonio and South Texas!

The sun is shining, the temperatures are climbing, and spring cleaning is about to commence!

Out with the old and in with the new! Ah, the joy of cleaning out our closets, garages, and sheds.

Typically, during this time of year we like to address spring electrical safety. This year we thought to share a list of

electrical projects folks might like to consider, before moving into the warmer months of the year!

Things to Consider....

Ceiling Fans – When the temperatures heat up; ceiling fans give us a nice cool breeze on our skin to cool us down.  Upgrading those older ceiling fans to add some new flair to your decor; or installing new ceiling fans in addition to your current fans, will keep you cooler in the warmer months to come. Inside or outside, they do help with keeping us cool.

Interior Lighting - If you haven’t made the switch to LED Lighting yet, you should consider it. Not only is LED lighting tons more energy efficient than incandescent or fluorescent lighting, it’s also better for the environment, saves you $$ on your electric bills, illuminates better and brighter, and lasts longer too! New LED lighting options can really give your home decor an updated look as well. 

Exterior Lighting – LED lighting for the exterior of your residence is also an upgrade that not only provides amazing curb appeal, but also adds that extra layer of safety for your family at night, as well as the perfect lighting for any evening or nighttime entertaining!  

Electric Vehicle Car Charger – The perfect idea for that new Electric Vehicle you’re looking to purchase! Installing a personal EV charger at your home; brings the convenience of overnight charging and potential cost savings right to your door.

Whole Home Surge Protector – Have major appliances? Computers? AC? Then you should consider installing a Whole Home Surge Protector.

Surge Protection has been part of the NEC electrical Code since 2020. This very important device should be installed in all residential dwellings; to protect against power surges coming into your home and throughout your electrical appliances, causing damages to them.
